About

My name is Leon, but in the Super Smash Bros. video game modding community, I’m probably better known by Red93 or maybe even S2, as it was usually under these names that I uploaded my work. I am (or was—I don’t really do this anymore) primarily a texture artist who focuses on making modifications (or “mods”) that are competitive-friendly for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Project M game play. I hope for all to be able to enjoy my mods even with minimal Super Smash Bros. Brawl modding know-how, experience or tools. For those wishing to expand upon my work, you are welcome to use any of my mods in order to create your own as long as you keep to the Terms of Use outlined below.

History

I created my first mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) in 2011, but that being said, it wasn’t until June 28, 2012 that I released my first publicly available mod and uploaded it to KK:MC which is the biggest SSB modding scene. For the rest of the year, I released many more mods, and they seemed to be pretty well received.

I was later a nominee for the KK:MC 2012 Awards—which I later won first place in for my respecitve category. With my work and other responsibilities and projects consuming most of my time, I went on a year and a half hiatus from the scene until June 26, 2014. I made a return for a few months and released seven more character mods and many interface replacements. Near the end of the same year, I drew away from the scene once more, and I completed my latest work on November 1, 2014. (Sidenote: I’ve actually made a few more since then, but I’ve yet to get around to uploading/displaying them anywhere.)

Over the course of a few years and tons of hours of work, I’ve created 28 character mods, 6 stage mods, over 500 interface replacements, 2 full in-game menu replacements, assembled a starter pack for mod beginners, written extensive tutorials, participated in several collaboration projects, and received over 20,000 downloads (I stopped tracking them after two years and not including the interface mods). I’ve become an award nominee and winner, a three-time contest winner and have organized a successful contest of my own with the help of an organized staff. My work has been featured in several videos and even the official KC:MM blog.

Terms of Use

Obviously, the owners of the source material like Nintendo and whomever else own what they own, and I’m not taking any credit anything away from that. I’m only referring to the stuff that I’ve done, of course. But anyway, with that aside and out of the way:

Creative Commons License

These usage terms apply to my Super Smash Bros. Brawl modifications. Super Smash Bros. Brawl itself is property of Nintendo and its respective owners. I don’t claim ownership in part nor whole nor am I an affiliate of theirs.
